myHappymind
Our Wellbeing lessons follow the myHappymind program which teaches children preventative habits that support positive mental health, resilience and self-esteem. We are now a Bronze-accredited myHappymind school!
The myHappymind curriculum is grounded in NHS-backed, scientific research and helps children to:
- Feel happier
- Know what to do when they feel worried or stressed
- Improve their focus and learn more
- Achieve more of their goals that they set for themselves
- Develop better relationships with friends and families
- Feel great about who they are and have positive self-esteem
And much, much more!!
myHappymind isn’t just a topic or subject like Maths.
It’s a life skill that children learn to help them to be their very best selves. Children will have weekly lessons but will be using the habits they learn all the time.
How to get involved at home
To further embed this learning and ensure that parents are able to engage in these topics with their child, myHappymind has developed a set of resources for parents. These resources can be accessed online on a computer, or through an app on a phone. The resources allow children to continue to practise some of the habits they have developed at school, such as Happy Breathing, and for parents to learn more about what they are learning in the program. Also included are activities for parents to do together at home, to complement the in-school lessons.
To access these materials scan the QR code to take you to https://myhappymind.org/parent-resources and enter the parent’s name, email, and authentication code.
The authentication code is 137432.
We really encourage parents to make use of this free content so that they can support their child in getting the best out of the curriculum.
