Breakfast Club
We invite children in to The Snug for breakfast which begins at 8am. The children then help to set the table, make their own drinks and select the breakfast they would like (we offer a choice of healthy cereals, toast with a range of spreads and porridge). The children will also choose their dinner choice in this time.
During Breakfast Club, we talk with the children about their general wellbeing to ensure they are emotionally prepared for the school day. It also gives the children an opportunity to check they have all the equipment they may need for their learning.
The children are then given the time to free-play in order to enhance their social skills and build friendships. This time is important for the children as it sets them in a positive frame of mind for the day ahead.
Being invited to Breakfast Club is a great way to begin the day and is a very nurturing service that the school is extremely proud to offer.
Drop Ins
The Snug is a safe space that is available for children to access all day. Some children drop in for a chat or a catchup, some may pop in seeking advice or support for a problem whilst others may have simply forgotten their PE kit!
Miss Goodman also supports the children within their class environment and the children are able to speak with her at these times.
Families are always welcome
It is always lovely to see our families in school.
The Snug is where our Community Family Worker, SENDCo and Pastoral Support Worker are based. The staff have very close links so that they provide as much support as possible for any families or parents who might need it.
The Snug is a comfortable and open environment where families can meet for scheduled meetings with school staff, social workers and other external agencies.
Please do not hesitate to pop in for a chat in a safe setting if you feel like you need to talk to someone. Just email or call the school to find out who is best to talk to.
Lunch Club
This is the place to be at lunchtimes. Miss Goodman is always in here ready to play games, make cards, listen to how everyone's mornings have been as well as a whole host of other fun activities.
It is a lively place at lunchtimes and great for children to socialise with others from different classes and year groups!
