Maths - Your child will receive a weekly 'CanDo Maths' activity which focusses on number bonds. Please also encourage your child to practise their times tables (and even the division inverses!) for Times Table Rockstars (TTRS) and Numbots. All children should know their times tables up to 12x12 by the end of Year 4. Constantly rehearsing these facts enables speedy recall which assists your child in all areas of Maths - not just times tables directly.

English - Your child will receive '10' words as their spellings of the week. The spelling rule will be taught in school during the week. Please see this term's Spelling Schedule below. Please also listen to your child read at least 5 times a week (and sign their homework diary); the 'little and often' approach has a huge impact on your child's reading. Don't forget - evidenced 'home reads' will earn courts!
